Bobby Roubal

Bobby Roubal’s musical journey began at age eight on the violin before finding his true voice on the trumpet at ten. Drawn to the expressive freedom of jazz and the art of improvisation, Bobby went on to study jazz performance at the University of Arizona, where he had the privilege of performing with legends such as Billy Taylor and Wynton Marsalis. His passion for performance later earned him a national selection for a summer internship with the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, FL, where he shared the stage with world-renowned artists including Arturo Sandoval and Pete Christlieb.

After a courageous battle with stage IV oral cancer in 2016, Bobby emerged with a renewed gratitude for life and music. His resilience and passion culminated in the release of his debut album Always and Forever (2017) and his follow-up Melody in Blue (2024). Now based in the North Dallas area, Bobby continues to compose and perform, blending the lyrical sophistication of West Coast jazz with the high-energy spontaneity of bebop—always driven by a deep love for the music that adds significance to life.
